Robotics out of the Box

Revolutionary robotics solution for SMEs

The project "Robotics out of the box" helps to describe tasks easily, plan and execute them. The step by step navigation is intuitive and solution-oriented. Specialized on the different workflows (task planning, detailed planning, execution) the user interface supports the user with active guidance.

Robotics out of the box

The development of robotic applications requires considerable expertise and therefore represents a significant challenge for small and medium-sized companies that want to integrate robot technologies efficiently.

The challenge

Easy cobot handling for SMEs

Small and medium sized enterprises are faced with high costs when minor adjustments or flexibility in reprogramming of robots and cobots are required. However, these adjustments are often unavoidable in order to meet the dynamic requirements of the business environment.

As a result, companies are faced with the decision to either hire additional specialized staff for robotics or bring in external experts to make the necessary adjustments. This process can not only be costly but also time-consuming and presents a hurdle for organizations looking to integrate robotics technologies quickly and efficiently.

The solution

Seamless collaboration between humans and cobots

Our solution consists of three central components that ensure seamless collaboration between humans and cobots: task description, detailed planning, and execution.

In the task description phase, the employee can use the application's intuitive interface to describe the steps that need to be completed without requiring any programming knowledge. Our approach introduces a crucial aspect during the teaching process. Through the "hand guiding" method, the user can manually guide the cobot's arm to the desired positions. This allows for precise adjustment and alignment of the cobot's movements according to the specific requirements of the task. In the execution phase, the traditional serial operation takes place, where the worker collaborates closely with the cobot.

During the execution, the application informs the worker about each step of the cobot, ensuring transparent communication and a deep understanding of the actions being performed. This method increases efficiency, as the worker can take on other tasks during this time. In cases where the cobot cannot perform certain tasks, the worker receives a notification from the application. This notification contains clear instructions on what steps the worker needs to take to ensure the cobot can continue working seamlessly. This intelligent interaction between human and cobot not only enhances efficiency but also promotes flexibility and adaptability in the production environment.
