In recent years, the application of AI in the medical field has been steadily increasing and is characterized by its ability to efficiently process and analyze complex data. Its use in analyzing medical images such as X-rays and MRI scans is particularly noteworthy. In histopathology, AI enables a detailed examination of tissue samples and identifies nuances and patterns that are difficult for the human eye to recognize, thus supporting a more precise diagnosis.

 

Our latest project in cooperation with a leading German medical university illustrates the enormous impact of AI in medical diagnostics, particularly in the accurate diagnosis of liver disease.

The challenge

Fine nuances in histological sections

Our task was to integrate the AI model developed by the university students into a comprehensive, functional application. This included developing a system that not only facilitates the uploading and processing of histology images but also presents the AI analysis in an accessible and informative way. Recognizing the diverse needs of the research community, we designed the application to be adaptable to different AI models. It is also accessible to users worldwide by supporting multiple languages.

Our solution was to develop an AI-based application that not only improves the analysis of histological images but also provides an intuitive user interface for physicians. The application enables easy uploading of images, efficient pre-processing, and detailed visualization of the AI analysis. In addition, it is flexibly adaptable to different AI models and available in multiple languages.
